The Forum Żgħażagħ Laburisti has reiterated its position against Acta, which position it said was consistent with that taken by PL MEPs since the very beginning.
The FZL said that this treaty made the Maltese and Europeans realise the dangers of such agreements and how privacy was being threatened in the interest of a few multi-millionaires.
The forum said it was taking part in the consultation process launched by Parliament's European Affairs Committee as part of its campaign against the treaty.
It said it firmly believed the government should withdrawn from Acta and stressed the need for strong amendments to the privacy act, since the people's privacy should come first and foremost.
