Bullet report sparks off security operation

The police are investigating the discovery of a bullet in Attard close to the private residence of a judge. A neighbour of Mr Justice Robert Mangion filed a report yesterday morning after discovering a bullet on the ground the previous day, the police media unit said. The bullet was spotted next to some rubble. Officers immediately went on site to search for evidence. The report led to a security operation in which members of the Armed Forces of Malta’s bomb disposal unit also checked cars parked in the street. Duty Magistrate Giovanni Grixti appointed experts to help in his inquiry.
