Government expenditure on ministerial cars has gone down since the general election because ministers have not taken up the option of being allocated secondary cars, Transport Minister Joe Mizzi said in parliament this evening.
He was replying to a series of questions by Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi.
He said his ministry had hired one car for general use since the election.
He also remarked that a number of cars used by officials in the previous government were still unaccounted for.
