Din l-Art Ħelwa lecture about archaeology and temples

Professor Anthony Bonanno and retired Judge Joseph Galea Debono will be holding their fifth joint lecture as part of the Din l-Art Ħelwa schedule of events. During this lecture they will share their findings in a two part talk: the remains of conflict archaeology which abound all along the Delimara promontory, in particular the Forts of Delimara and Tas-Silġ and the St Paul's and Wolsely Batteries. While the second part will focus on recent developments and finds in the multi period archaeological site at Tas Silġ with its Temple of Juno, and on the prehistoric site at the cliff edge at Xrob l-Ghagin. The talk will be held at the Judge Maurice Caruana Curran Hall at Din l-Art Ħelwa, 133 Melita St., Valletta on Thursday March 8 at 6.30 p.m. Admission is free of charge but donations to Din l-Art Ħelwa’s restoration projects would be much appreciated.
