Boy, 12, grievously injured in accident

A 12-year-old boy was grievously injured this afternoon when he was hit by a car in Kalkara. He is not in a critical condition. The police said the boy, who is from Cospicua, was hit by an Isuzu Gemini that was being driven by a 40-year-old man from Zurrieq at around 5.30 p.m. The accident happened in Triq Santa Liberata'. The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance.
