A student organisation has expressed preoccupation at a rule prohibiting students sitting for their Matsec Ordinary and Advanced level examinations from drinking during the exams.
In a statement, Pulse said that despite the increasing hot temperature, students were being stopped from keeping beverages in examination halls.
They were never prohibited from keeping at least a bottle of water in previous years, it said.
"It is totally unacceptable that students are not allowed to drink for a whole session, some of which last three hours," it said.
Pulse said that although there might have been cases of abuse in the past, the authorities should remember it was essential for students to sit for their examinations in the right environment with the proper conditions.
So this regulation, it said, should be reversed as soon as possible.
