Decisions always taken in the public interest - Gozo Channel

  Decisions by Gozo Channel officials, especially operational ones, are always taken in the public interest and for the safety of passengers, Gozo Channel said this morning. Referring to the incident yesterday morning, during which a truck driver stopped his vehicle on the loading ramp, blocking access to the ship and disrupting operations, Gozo Channel said that matters concerning issues of public order were in the hands of the police. The company regretted the inconvenience caused to clients. The truck driver, Joseph Grima of Ghajnsielem, was yesterday fined €250 by the Gozo courts and placed under a €200 guarantee.
