During the meeting, Dr Muscat emphasised that the Labour Party was committed towards ensuring the best relations between Malta and Libya. The friendship between the two peoples would open the doors to other matters, such as business, he said.
Dr Muscat said that if there is a change in government in Malta, the new Labour government would work to strengthen relations.
He also told the NTC that the PL supported the negotiations currently in hand between the two governments on the procurement of gas and oil and hoped the results would be positive for the Maltese to benefit from better energy prices.
