A man was remanded in custody after he pleaded not guilty to attempting to seriously injure his brother and slightly injuring him with a knife.
Police Inspector Robert Said Sarreo told the court that Stefan Esposito, 24 of Zabbar, had been causing a lot of problems for his family at home.
He had an argument with his brother Alexander during which both were injured with a knife Stefano was carrying.
Defence lawyer Cedric Mifsud said Alexander was to blame for the incident. For after three years of marriage, he split from his wife and went to live with his mother, where Stefan also lived.
The brothers fought continuously and it did not make sense for his client to be remanded in custody while Alexander stayed home.
He said that the day before this incident Stefan filed a report against Alexander for attacking him.
