Hibs 2 Mosta 1
Hibernians maintained their winning run in the BOV Premier League when they edged past a battling Mosta 2-1 side at the Hibs Stadium today.
The Paolites enjoyed a perfect start as they managed to take the lead after 10 minutes.
Edward Herrera created some space for himself on the right before sending a teasing cross toward Andrew Cohen whose dipping header flew into the net.
As the minutes ticked by, Mosta came more into the picture and it was no surprise that on 23 minutes they managed to draw level.
Grech picked Zibona on the right flank and the Tanzanese striker curled a ball inside the area where the prolific Obiefule headed past goalkeeper Mario Muscat.
However, four minutes from the break Hibs regained their lead. Luis Edison raced past two Mosta defenders before flicking the ball into the path of Jackson Lima who fired the ball into the roof of the net.
Andrew Cohen was voted as the BOV Player of the match.
