A magistrate yesterday issued a protection order for a woman who was allegedly stalked and harassed by her estranged husband.
David Xuereb, 40, from Floriana, was accused of harassing and offending the woman during and before March.
The couple are undergoing separation proceedings.
Magistrate Edwina Grima granted the man bail against a personal guarantee of €10,000. She also ordered him not to approach his ex-wife and not to communicate with her in any way.
Police Inspector Jason Sultana prosecuted.
