A 49-year-old man was this morning remanded in custody after he pleaded not guilty to raping his wife, seriously injuring her when he punched her in the face and threatening her.
Sources said attack took place in the couple's matrimonial home in Qrendi after she refused to have sex with the man, who arrived home drunk.
