Goals aplenty as Sliema and San Ġiljan cruise to victory

The two matches of this weekend’s restrictive programme were re­solved in favour of Sliema McDo­nald’s and San Ġiljan Sir Alex at the expense of inferior opponents. In the first clash, the Blues got going against Valletta in the second quarter of the game after the City team’s initial resistance fizzled out. Their very short eight-man squad was a spent force against a Sliema side that kept making use of all their units.
