Song festival for young people

L-Għanja tal-Poplu – Żgħażagħ, a youth festival launched with the aim of giving space to under-16s to express their wishes and aspirations through song, will be held on Friday. The festival, organised by L-Għanja tal-Poplu, in collaboration with St Benedict’s College, the Education Ministry, the Akkademja tal-Malti and Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, will also feature an ensemble of 16 musicians from Pjazza Teatru Rjal’s Malta Concert Orchestra, under the direction of maestros Paul Abela and Joe Brown. L-Għanja tal-Poplu is supported by the Arts Council Malta. The festival will be held on Friday at 7.30pm at St Benedict’s College – Secondary School, Kirkop. There will also be a matinee performance for schools. Tickets are available from www.ticketline.com.mt.
