Muscat's declaration exposes his thirst for power - PN

The Labour leader's declaration in Parliament tonight that even if the no confidence motion was defeated, the government would not be in a position to continue administering the country showed his thirst for power, the Nationalist Party said. Labour leader Joseph Muscat had put his ambition to become Prime Minister before the national interest and above the people's standard of living, the PN charged. It said Dr Muscat wanted instability. Even though 2012 was a year of tough decisions because of the international economic crisis, where one mistake would result in great harm to the country's economy and unemployment, Dr Muscat was intent just on playing partisan politics as he wanted to become Prime Minister as soon as possible. Dr Muscat's declaration, together with that of Labour MP George Vella that Dr Muscat was practically Prime Minister, exposed the PL as a party that wanted power no matter what, the PN said.
