Man dies after passing out at Għajn Tuffieħa

A 32-year-old man died in hospital today after he was found unconscious in the sea at Għajn Tuffieħa. The police said their assistance was requested at 12.20 pm after the victim, a Pole, was taken out of the water by people who realised he had lost consciousness while swimming. A medical team was called on site and the man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified dead. An inquiry is being held.
