Business First, a new one-stop shop for businesses, was inaugurated today with a promise of prompt and efficient service.
The new initiative was inaugurated by Finance Minister Tonio Fenech at the new Malta Enterprise offices in the former nursing school on the St Luke's Hospital grounds.
He said that 50 services given by government bodies have now been grouped under one roof in a measure aimed at saving time for businesses and investors.
He also announced a new telephone information service on number 144.
Mr Fenech was accompanied by the Minister for Small Businesses, Jason Azzopardi, and the Minister for Tourism and the Environment, Mario de Marco.
Business First will receive applications for a wide range of government services, which, in most cases, will be processed within 10 days. People can also use Business First for information on business opportunities, financing and incentive and assistance schemes.
The new service also applies for tourism operators. www.businessfirst.com.mt
