Muscat: Labour's plans do not mean end to gas pipeline possibility

Labour leader Joseph Muscat said today that Labour's energy plans did not mean an end to the possibility of having a gas pipeline, but having a gas terminal supplied by tankers was quicker, saving money for the country. Speaking outside Senglea primary school, Dr Muscat also said that two education reports with "interesting" information about maths and science primary learning are being kept under wraps, Joseph Muscat said this morning. The TIMMS and PIRLS reports had been published last month but were yet to be made public, Dr Muscat said. He said both reports had "crucial" information about local primary education valuable to teachers. Dr Muscat said that while the PL would continue to answer questions about its energy plans, the party would now start unveiling other proposals. Workers' rights and bringing more women into the workforce were next on the agenda, he said. Dr Muscat said Labour's proposals did not mean an end to talk of a gas pipeline,  noting how the government’s own pre-application pipeline study made mention of a gas terminal.
