Twieled fi Djarna—San Lawrenz, Gozo

On Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th December, the small village of San Lawrenz in Gozo, will be transformed into a cradle to welcome in a different way, the birth of Christ. The 43rd edition of the annual Christmas Pageant which will take the form of a completely new version on the occasion of the Year of Faith, aims at rekindling the light of the Babe of Bethlehem in every house in the village. The small community of San Lawrenz will be opening it’s doors from where biblical characters who form part of your history of salvation will exit. The story of each biblical character will mingle with that of each family, while the particular identity of the village of San Lawrenz , will offer the idyllic background to relive the greatest story ever told culminating in the birth of Christ. Those opting to be present in the main square and streets of San Lawrenz, on one of the two evenings, to follow “Twieled fi Djarna” will not simply be spectators but will become participants of this unique celebration.
