Seeing double

The first Dorothy Philippa Cassar, 17, attends St Aloysius Sixth Form and is studying English and Philosophy at an advanced level. She is also an advanced ballet student at the Central Academy of Ballet and pursues vocal training privately under the tuition of Denise Mulholland. “Being quite the live wire as a toddler, my parents sent me to ballet classes to blow off some of my energy while gaining discipline and confidence,” she says. “From then on, I was pretty much hooked on all things theatrical. “I picked up the guitar when I was six years old and at 13 I started attending regular vocal training. Being a lover of the performing arts, I joined Stagecoach a year later, where I formed part of the Stagecoach Troupe. Theatre credits include It Could Happen Now – Cabaret and Ali Baba by FM Productions. “I recently had the opportunity to compete in the International Alchemy Songwriting Competition, Arkansas, USA with my sister, where we were Youth Division Winners.
