Dockyard worker critically injured

A dockyard worker is in hospital after an unfortunate accident at the Palumbo dockyard this morning. The man, 40 of Gzira, was driving a fork lifter which hit a crash barrier and crashed down a dock, a drop of some 11 metres. It landed in shallow water. The man's condition was described as critical. An inquiry is being held.
