A 43-year-old man from Zejtun was arrested this morning after he threatened a number of people with a knife in Ghaxaq.
According to people on the scene, the man had been driving a car which crashed into two vehicles at about 6 a.m. An argument developed and the man started brandishing a large knife.
He also brandished the knife at members of the Police Mobile Squad.
The police denied reports that a taser gun was used to subdue the man.
