Van topples over in Mriehel - collision causes big jam in Qormi

A 37-year-old man was injured in a collision between a light van and a Lada car at Mriehel industrial estate this morning. The van was toppled over. In a separate incident, a long traffic jam formed following a collision between a bendy bus and a car under the Mriehel by-pass flyover near the Maltapost head office in Qormi. The incident happened at about 8 a.m. Some 10 buses from the nearby Qormi interchange were held up in the traffic jam and hundreds of people were seen alighting and walking towards Hamrun and Floriana in order to get to work on time - either on foot or by taking another bus.
